My parents neighbors

My mom called me today and told me this story about the neighbors that live directly behind them...I don't know if you girls remember the Widhalms? Their daughter was a year or two behind us. Anyway its kind of scary...it could have been a lot worse. My dad is not allowed outside by himself anymore!! There are rules that I have to lay down now!!

New little babies :)

I know I have told you all about how cute the little baby puppies when they are only a few minutes old. Well, I finally have proof. Last Saturday we did a c-section on a Bernese Mountain Dog...momma and babies are all fine. She had 7 healthy puppies-6 girls and 1 lonely little boy. He is the one in the video, only about 10 minutes old, its kind of grainy because it was from my phone. Make sure you have your volume on, this is what we work so hard to hear, its very rewarding once they start crying!!

Battle E. Portman

We went to the Roller Derby Saturday night...Yes, I made it there safely no head traumas or any ambulance rides ;)
It was my friend Whitney's 1st "bout". She has been practicing with the team since July, but she had never competed. She did great! Knocking girls down left and right ;) We are all very proud of our little "Battle E. Portman" (she is the one in the pink helmet)She ended up with a few battle wounds, like fishnet burn and a few bruises, but that is all part of the fun!

Finally :)

We had our 1st snow on Wed night and all day Thursday!!

NOW its beginning to look like Christmas! Or winter for that matter, it was 68 degrees the day before :(

You were so sweet and innocent when I first met you, remember your famous "action photos" and wearing your favorite Mickey Mouse pajamas to all the slumber parties ;)I don't know what happened? You must have started hanging out with the wrong crowd...Because you did some crazy things like dying your hair pink, wearing little boys Spiderman underoos-on your head, and that crazy red "choker" (don't worry...I haven't lost that picture)I am so happy and excited for you! You are going to be a fantastic mother! I love you so much! I wish we lived closer. I cant wait to meet Owen!

Best time of year!

We started to decorate for Christmas over the weekend. We put up our little trees inside the house and hung our stockings...yes, both animals have stockings. Carl is actually leaving stuff alone, for the most part.

Matt's sister made us a wreath to put outside, it has 400 lights on it! Its huge, and very pretty :)We put up our lights outside yesterday, in the freezing wind. Matt did a good job, it looks nice. We still have a few more strands to go. I'm telling you its not Christmas if its not gaudy!
