Another class

Here is the outcome of my sewing class tonight...this was pretty easy and fun!

Hunting

Matt and his dad have been taking Pete duck hunting this fall...Pete loves it. Well all three of them do ;) One of these times I will go with them to get some good pictures of Pete on the retrieve.

My hobby

This is what I have been doing in my "spare" time recently. It started last year, when I made a few for Christmas presents for the family dogs, and now it has kind of become an obsession.
I tried to get involved in a craft fair this December, but you had to apply and be selected to participate, and I was not. So I am taking some of the ones I have made and donating them to the shelter where I adopted Avery from for their fundraiser craft fair, the director there was excited about them, that makes me feel good

New West Fest

Each August the city puts on "New West Fest" a free music and arts festival, that starts Friday night and goes until Sunday evening. I have seen everything from the B52's to Earth Wind and Fire...this year there was no way I was passing up Friday nights show!! A free G Love and Special Sauce show...come on ;) It's been at least 9 years since I have seen him; he still puts on a great show...

and he is still pretty hot...Matt put up with me the whole time acting like a star crazed 13 year old ;) It helped too that I had Christine there too, you know to agree with me...

work work work

Work is crazy right now...we are very understaffed, but at least we have had some sweet animals to balance out the suckiness...

 I told the owners they almost didn't get him back, I was going to take him home with me...they didn't appreciate that much ;)

Saturday swimming and farmers market

more curtains...

Since we moved in almost 5 years ago, there has been nothing on the windows. I guess it's about time I started making stuff. So far I have made curtains for our living room and guest room. My problem is that when I go to look for fabric I get distracted with fabric for other people...so I have also made curtains for our friends Dann and Whitney too. Now I will go back to our house ;) Next up the computer room

Another try...

I thought I would give this another try...
Things got crazy back in November/December and I have been too lazy to start up again.
I wont bore with details of my life for the past 8 months, we will just start fresh with whats going on now.  Which is not a whole heck of a lot.

My last post was about my frustration with my first sewing class, well since then I have become much more comfortable sewing, and I actually really like it.  I am still not a pro, but I have made some cute things.  For example...
I finally got rid of the old curtains in our living room and made our new ones :)
(it kind of looks like christmas trees, but I assure you they are not.  It looks better in person)
