Snow

Yep this is what we have going on right now...over 10 inches and still snowingWhat's that? The weather never gets crappy right before/on Halloween! It is supposed to warm up on Friday, so we will probably have a nice soggy night ;)

2 weeks

In a little under 2 weeks there will be a new addition to our household :)
One of these beautiful yellow lab pups is ours!!! (well more so Matty's, his birthday present from his parents) We pick him up in Kansas November 6th, he will be 8 weeks old then. Any name suggestions?

Tomatoes anyone?

I am so tired of tomatoes...
Next year we are not going to plant 15 tomato plants! The main problem I think was that the soil did not get warm enough so they were not ripening. We had to pull all of them off a couple weeks ago due to a winter storm, most of which were completely green :( We have them in the linen closet, the pantry and the oven...and on a couple of the kitchen counters
Too many for us to eat, we decided to make sauce. Our 1st attempt was pretty good, it just took FOREVER! The tomatoes were so juicy it took over 3 hours to cook them down, I think we ate dinner that night at 11:30pm. Our 2nd attempt went better, but we have not had any of it yet, that went into a lasagna that we will eat later :)

The best and the worst idea

I said it the minute I saw the booth...
This is the best idea ever and the worst!
(whatever it is I am still stealing it one day)
At the wedding they had a photo booth set up, it would print out two sets of pictures, one for you to keep and one to put in a scrapbook for the bride and groom and write a little something.
Its the best idea because it was fun, it was the worst idea because they got A LOT of body part pictures with this group of people! (not me of course, but I saw plenty of others)

Mel and Jake's big day

Here are just a few of the many many pictures taken over the weekend :)

Our friends Jake and Mel tied the knot Saturday (which was also my parents 39th anniversary...a good day to get married I think) The wedding was up in Avon, just outside of Vail, the weather was perfect, I got to see a lot of people I had not seen in a very long time, and I got put to bed early due to too much wine ;) All in all I would say it was a great time!

Obsession

Carl is obsessed with yarn...as probably most cats are. I have to keep it in a large plastic storage bin, otherwise I find it all over the house. No really, ALL over the house, wrapped around the legs of the kitchen or coffee table a few times, over chairs, etc...
He wanted nothing more but to get into that bin, I watched him try for a good 10 minutes or so. He finally gave up and I made sure I put something heavy on top. He's so weird ;)
