A day in the life...

I don't know if I have ever really given anyone a good picture of the randomness of a crazy work day for me...today was a great example.
I was the tech in charge of anesthesia today...I calculate the doses, draw up the drugs, and monitor the anesthesia, and then later in the day I help with appointments. Some days I am pretty much only on appointments. I work at a great clinic, we all really try to help each other out so no one gets screwed...but inevitably it happens :(
So big moments of my day today...
1- I extracted a tooth on a dog (which actually makes me a little queasy and I still need a lot of help doing)
2- Came back from lunch, full, and immediately had to "sort" through diarrhea looking for tapeworms ( I know glamorous!) FYI-they look like little rice granules around your dogs butt, or on their bedding...but dont really worry too much unless your dog eats rabbits and such...GROSS (sorry)
3- Had my 2 year "review" got a raise!!!
4- Finished my review early because I had to help the doc euthanize a goat! She was very sweet and 15 years old! WOW!
5- Number 4 is weird because we only see dogs and cats at our clinic...but they are a good client of ours, and we make exceptions.6- Kissed a tiny little pug puppy... THE BEST PART OF THE JOB!!

7- Came home and tried to explain all of that to Matt...it usually isn't in outline form for him...more jumbled and really doesn't make any sense... But he's good to me and he listens, then gives me a beer ;) Then he passes out due to exhaustion from listening to me...

Cool. I really liked your day in the life post. I think you have a great job...tape worms and all.
