summer fests

A couple weekends ago was New West Fest, a somewhat small little festival here in town. Its doubled in size since last year. They close off streets downtown and there are about 5 stages with different bands that play all day and into the night. Lots of booths selling crap, but its definitely fun to walk around and people watch. We saw the most fantastic little boy, rocking white high top sneakers, sunglasses, a white polo shirt and diapers! He was awesome!! What confidence ;) Oh yeah, you cant leave out the little Joe Dirt, I wish I had my camera out.
Anyway, I also got to see Jake and my Zach. I don't get to see him enough...maybe once every couple months, once a month if I am lucky. I miss him so much, we always have such a good time together, giggling about everything. I also got to meet his lovely and very sweet boyfriend Chris! It was great, but they left early :( It just wasn't enough time!After that we watched my friend Jason's band Open Fire play in the square. They play some good old fashioned hair band rock! They had a pretty decent sized crowd by the end...Matt said he would see people walk up, kind of laughing at them, but they wouldn't leave. And by the end they were rockin out!
