Money was really tight (which is nothing new) and on top of that all my hospital bills started coming in :( Insurance is a great thing, but I still owe quite a bit. I love the fact that I just had to pay the "brain specialist" $240 to come into the hospital room for 5 minutes and tell me that my head was OK, and when I asked him about my shoulder because it really hurt he smugly told me that he "doesn't do anything below the neck".

Besides all that spending time with family was great. It had been way to long since I have spent a good couple days down in the Springs. We went to Matt's house in Parker for Christmas Eve and Day, then down to my parents for the rest of the weekend. I bought another pattern off of Etsy to make mittens for my sister, and Matt's little sister and mom (thanks Sara and Bonnie...I'm kind of addicted) They turned out pretty good for my first try....by the third set I think I'm getting the hang of it.
We got a lot of kitchen themed presents from both our families...They are all really excited for us to get going on this redo! So am I!!! Its just that whole money thing again. It will be done this year!

Mittens! How cool! (or warm I should say) Glad you had a good Christmas; yes the holidays aren't the same once you have to start buying for others ;)
