So Riley hit a wall today...she has been doing great. We went for a walk last night, she was running around having a great time. This morning a different story, she wouldn't eat, wouldn't chase Pete around, she woke me up at 5am with a dry heave...I took her into work and she was running a fever 103.6 (normal is 101.5)
We rechecked her lab work...Chemo has wiped out her out...her white blood cells are low, her red blood cells are low, she feels like poop. We gave her some antibiotics and she ate a little later today, hopefully she keeps that up. It just sucks, everyday is different, its an emotional roller coaster for me right now. I wish she didn't have to feel like crap...she just looks at me with the saddest eyes when she feels crummy, it breaks my heart.
The doctors say that the other treatments should be better, the first is always the hardest cause we don't know how she will react to it, but now they know they have to change the dose...she's sensitive.
This picture of her was taken about 10 minutes before she collapsed back in April...crazy hugh? She looks like that would never happen :(
